Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya

My wife and I stayed 8 nights at the Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya in January 2024 for our honeymoon. Pros: Amazing rooms. Very much enjoyed the jungle view from our room The quality of the food at the restaurants was exceptional The resort was quiet (in a good way) - we never had to worry about not finding a great spot at the beach or at any of the pools Cons: Keep track of your spending yourself. They added a $50 charge to our bill for a restaurant we never ate at. Only because my wife kept track of our spending throughout the week were we able to identify this charge. Default daily housekeeping service was to not make the bed and to leave used towels on the floor. Once we called the front desk, we received wonderful housekeeping service for the rest of our stay. However, I was disappointed that the default housekeeping service for a 5 star Hilton Conrad was so poor. Expect to regularly see plastic on the beach. They do not clean the beach on a daily basis. And when they do, they leave smaller pieces of plastic/trash behind

The Conrad, Hilton in Tulum was complete paradise. The views, employees, and service were outstanding. The accommodations and the food were beyond excellent. Each morning we had an amazing breakfast with the most amazing service. The most outstanding server was a man named Israel/Michael. He Was beyond accommodating, and was helpful with all our needs. He greeted us daily with a smile, and made every moment spectacular. On our last day, he even made me a beautiful little gift out of a palm leaf. He made me look forward to breakfast even more. great energy, and excellent service. May he be recognized for his hard work and dedication in his position. Thank you for an amazing experience. I will be back, and I will tell all my friends about this wonderful place. Liz Carroll

I stayed at the Conrad last December, over NYE 2022 with 3 girlfriends and had a great stay. The property is about a 40 min cab ride to downtown and cabs are not cheap - it will run you about $150 RT. Check-in was probably the most frustrating part of our experience, as we had to wait for close to an hour with very little instruction on what to expect next and/or what we were waiting on and so had to approach several people to get some answers. It turned out that the room we requested wasn't available; however, the front desk eventually made it right. Location: 7/10 - Depends on preference. If you will be in the downtown area a bit, probably not the best place to stay. But if you don't plan to leave the resort much, it's perfect. Vibe: 10/10 - no detail was overlooked. The place felt magical between the lighting, the different seating areas surrounded by lush jungle touches. Entertainment: 10/10 - variety of live music throughout the day Restaurants: 7/10 - Good variety but difficult to get reservations. Highly recommended to plan in advance. Breakfast was probably our favorite part! Bars: 6/10 - The bar service was very hit or miss. Some days we were served with no wait at all, other times we found ourselves waiting 20+ minute for a drink. Beach: 3/10 - very rocky and small, unimpressive Pools: 10/10 - spent most of the time here (several options) Gym: 10/10 - A+ scenery, all new machines, plenty of space

The first view of the resort was great. Things all look beautiful and well managed & organized. But, that was all positive things we had here. Things all started going down dramatically after that. They put us in a room that is not the room type we didn't even book. Reported it and they moved us to another room which also not even the room type we booked. I assume they just overbooked our room and expected us to give up on that. We ended up early check out wasting our time and money there. The restaurants there are SEVERELY overpriced. The Japanese restaurant especially will make you still hungry even though you spend hundreds there. The funniest thing is the sushi quality was the worst ever in my life. I got one of the most expensive sushi but with the worst quality. Lastly, every single thing you order in the resort, they charge 15% tip automatically. You won't enjoy that much with the absurd tips on top of every overpriced thing there. It was our second resort of our trip and this resort was weirdly too quiet while the other resort was very crowded. I realized why after all that happened :)

Beautiful and clean place. Very luxurious design. However, I WAS SO HUNGRY ALL THE TIME . There is no real food in the resort . “Fancy” OVERPRICED!! Restaurants with small portions…tiny portions and not so delicious. I’ve been all over the world and stayed in 5* hotels before but was never overcharged for food and drinks like in this place. Breakfast was good.
